Dr. Philip Brown is a Wilmingtonian who has served the community in numerous capacities including as a New Hanover County school teacher, private practice vascular surgeon, physician leader, non-profit founder, community health convener and advocate, as well as health system executive. His authenticity and trustworthiness have enabled strong connections across many different demographics within the community. He is known for being able to unify groups of people who express very different perspectives. A natural consensus builder and skilled listener, he helps groups develop a foundation of shared reality, understand what matters most to them, and create visions of collective possibility that allow transformational change to emerge.
