Home Store

We are presently seeking volunteers
to serve as customer service representatives in our HomeStore.
Store hours are Monday-Friday 9 a.m - 5 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. -
2 p.m. We are closed on Sunday.

Construction/Deconstruction Volunteers
 |
|
 Work
side by side with future homeowners to help build our houses. No
specific skills required except the willingness to "swing a hammer"
or "stroke" a brush. Work with Crew Leaders and Site Supervisors
during the entire construction process of building a Habitat house.
Training is given on site to all new volunteers.
Available
Shifts:
Wednesdays, 8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and Saturdays, 8:00
a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Occasionally we build on other weekdays and need volunteers
for those rare occasions.
Deconstruction Volunteers are
also needed. This crew goes out to homes in the Cape Fear area
that are getting ready to be demolished and removes items that will
be sold in our HomeStore. Previous deconstruction experience
is not a requirement. This crew meets on an as needed

Fundraising Committee |
|
Cape Fear Habitat is looking for
a few good men/women for the fundraising committee. Previous
fundraising experience is a plus but not a requirement. Duties
include assisting with planning and set up of special events and
fundraisers and brainstorming ideas for future possible fundraisers.
Meetings are held once a month (and occasionally more often as
events get closer.)

Family Mentor/Family Selection |
Cape Fear
Habitat for
Humanity is in need of Volunteers who would like to mentor and
support our potential homeowners in the Cape Fear Area. If you
are interested in giving the gift of time, please call Toni Haseltine, our Family Services Coordinator at (910) 762-4744 ext.
106.We are also looking
for people that can volunteer on our Family Selection
committee. This committee meets the first Thursday of
the month at the Cape Fear Habitat offices and votes on
which families should be selected into the program.
Duties also include going to potential homeowners homes to
meet with the family and present your impressions/opinions
at the meetings. If you are interested in volunteering
on this committee, please contact Toni Haseltine at the
number above.
