Critical Home Repair

Interested in our Critical Home Repair program?

The Critical Home Repair program partners with individuals and families in need of critical repairs - extensive interior or exterior work needed to alleviate critical health, life and safety issues.

Qualified applicants must:
  • Own and reside in a home in need of repairs in Wilmington City limits
  • Fall below 80% of the area median household income for New Hanover County
  • Agree to partner with Habitat for Humanity on the repair project through sweat equity
  • Make a small down payment and repay a zero-interest, home repair loan for a portion of the repair costs
If you may qualify for the Critical Home Repair Program, please complete and submit the NRI Critical Home Repair Application along with the required documentation and bring it to our office at 20 North Fourth Street, Suite 200, Wilmington, NC 28401.

We look forward to receiving your application. If you have any questions, please contact Josh, 910.762.4744 x106.

Building Futures.
One Home at a Time.

Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity is a Christian housing ministry assisting families in the Cape Fear Region towards the purchase of a Habitat home. How do we do that? By building quality homes that we sell at no profit to families in need. As a private, non-profit organization, our interest-free mortgages allow a wider range of lower income families to qualify for homeownership. We work closely with volunteers, sponsors and families in the Habitat for Humanity program to not only construct homes, but to build better lives. Every donation makes a difference in the lives of a Habitat family. Become a volunteer by offering your time, or a sponsor by donating funds or materials.
